From Boone, N.C., Nate Harris and the Spice Creek Ramblers go beyond traditional, old time, and bluegrass, venturing into blues and rock soundscapes. With mostly original tunes, Nate Harris riffs on the guitar and harmonica accompanied by Western NC's best musicians on mandolin, guitar, percussion and doghouse bass. Since 2012, the Ramblers have shared an admiration for the mountain music spirit of Western North Carolina and an equal interest in the great songwriters and musicians of Rock N' Roll and Americana. With the recent release of the first studio album, "painted mountain", Nate Harris shows a talent for poetic lyricism. Playing venues throughout the High Country, (including MerleFest in 2017) the Spice Creek Ramblers can be seen on stages, by street corners, in campgrounds and at the local farmer's market.
